    Default loz 9-9

Fished morning and found better fish on the Osage from 4-7 mm. Found fish down 9-11 feet in 20 plus feet of water. fish perferred jig with a minnow. caught a few with niblets or a plain jig, but better fish were caught on minnows. 10-12 inch fish mostly. Tightlining only. Tried the Gravois but only small fish could be hooked there. Good morning with good times. Lacked a few for limits but planned on quitting at noon and eating lunch. Go when you can.

When you say Osage do you mean Osage beach area? My boss has a place there and I might go down in a couple weeks.

Bug, you are on target there! it is consistent, the Gravois can be hot or cold but that area is reliable. Osage Beach area 4-7 miles from the dam.

I love the Gravois when it's on but it can be as cantankerous as a woman......one day you're the king of the world the next you're at the bottom of the s--t heap.....that clear water up there makes it a unique area of the lake,i believe the area you caught em is so good is because the water color is usually consistant and there always seems to be a little current around there. We'll be fishin that a bunch during camp so hopefully it will do nothing but get better in the next couple of weeks, are you going to try to make it for camp?i've never met you i'd say it's about time.

Bugman, I am active in waterfowling also, and that is opening weekend of the local canada goose season. Will be there with that. Would love to talk crappie sometime somewhere, but already booked elsewhere that weekend. I stay away from loz between memorial and labor day. Fish there quite often the cooler less traffic months. Give me a shout.
Z21- Great to hear from you, trust the guys from your part of the world are doing well. The fall crappie season is heating up, consider coming back between now and Halloween. Best wishes to all. Bruce
