    Default Jon Boat for Truman

I'm wanting to buy an 18' or 20' jon boat to use at
Truman next year, mostly crappie and jugging for
catfish use. No problem buying a used boat but
I want to keep the motor I have on my 16' Nitro.
Right now the front runners are a Lowe roughneck,
and a G3. Want a wide boat with lots of room in the
bottom. Can't afford a War Eagle and not sure about
the bottom space in a SEAArk.
I would appreciate any thoughts you guys might have
about these boats. I know a lot of you fish at Truman
and I don't plan on being out when the water is really
    rough.

    Thanks
    John B.

if you can afford a seaark check into them I have been looking at them for awhile. I just haven't got enough aluminium cans saved up to buy one yet. These boats are wide and set up for this stile of fishing. I know midwest marina boats in harrisonville has a 20'er (i think it is 72 wide) that is a 2010 they are wanting to sell. when I was looking for a boat I looked all around and priced most of the different models. I ended up buying a polar craft 1886. much like a sea ark or war eagle. they have big open decks, a thicker aluminum hull than a lowe roughneck. and polar's have no wood anywhere in the boat so there is nothing to rot. and they are priced cheaper than a war eagle of sea ark but slightly more than a lowe. I just wish it either had 2 live wells or a bigger one.

There is one for sale in clinton off the side of the road on the east side of 7hwy. It looked like a nice one and no motor on it. It is on the north side of town
