Thread: First Annual Kansas City/Smithville Crappie Camp

If it's the 13th & 14th i'm in if it's the 20th and 21st. working, but I'll be there Sat evening and Sun am to fish with someone. Either way, looking forward to it.

May not be able to camp....we will see. But will be fishing.

Alex I know your calling this kansas city / Smithville thing but keep in mind Cdc is having a tourn. at Truman the 21ST lot of the guys up here go down and fish that.

Looks like there's a dead heat for the 2nd and 3rd weekend in May.

I'm kinda hoping for the earlier weekend. (Even though that's the only one JackB can camp at!:p:D j/k)

Not sure if this will sway anyone’s vote but The KCCC tournament is on the 14th from 6am to 1pm. I fish this ever year and there are always over 100 boats in it. The lake will be BUSY, it's crappie and bass and it leaves from Camp Branch so don’t plan on using that boat ramp, talk about a ZOO! Joe, this was meant to be a crappie camp only. The fishing on Saturday is optional and we are not organizing any water event. In fact I've been IM'd by a couple of folks that said they were going to camp but not fish on Saturday; some said they may camp and fish Sat and Sun. Fishing is up to the folks that attend on their own. I think that should take care of the Regatta Permit issue. But, if I know Bill I think he was giving me a hard time. I know I'll be wetting a line though.
