    Default Loz trip

I just got home from LOZ . This was one of the best trips I had all year. I fished with my brother in law and everything went great! We fish alot together and allway enjoy our trips but this time everthing went right. 39 deg. 25mph winds and we decided to fish the bluffs and limit out in 2 hrs. Fished brush in 20 to 30ft in mouth of a cove and caught our limit 10 to 12in healthy crappie. Im fishing around the 28mm on the Osage using 2 in Hot Grubs , bleeding Tennisee shad with 1/8 oz #2 sickle jig. I started off this year with having my colon removed so I got a late start spring fishing but I made up for it this summer and fall. Im going back after Thanksgiving to fish and close up the cabin for the winter. Guys, I had a great year after the colon thing and I hope you can say the same thing! ps I dont say happy holidays, I say have a good Thanksgiving and a MERRY CHRISTMAS

That was an all around good report with your health back and fishing good. Will be waiting to hear another good report after Thanksgiving? How close to the brush were you catching the fish?

Thanks guys. Most of the fish were on the bottom. I would vericle jig from the bottom up to the top of the brush. Sometimes dragging it through and a slow retrieve would cause a strike.

Super trip glad you got out and enjoyed the weather, probably won't see temperatures this nice for awhile. Not good for hunting but nice to be out in it just the same.
