Ok so my favorite rod is busted. I would like to know what everyone thinks about thier favorite fishing rod. There are so many out there. I would like to have one really good go to rod that when it lays in your hand it is just like its part of you.

Depends...... are you primarily a dipper or a rigger?
I've only used 10' Wally's Signature Series, but that's just me. My dad LOVES his 11' Outlaw and he's absolutely deadly with that thing.
I'd say if you busted your favorite rod, heck, go get another one of those.... it's your favorite for a reason!

That’s the thing I can't get that one anymore. I like a good rod to do everything I have long rods for spider rigging. Sometime I like to dip by the trees and sometime I like to flip it out and let it swing in. I had a nine foot rod that I was working with. The closest thing I have found is a G. Loomis Bronzeback and that’s a whole lot of money. So I just want to see what everyone thinks. Is there a better rod and value out there?
It was only a matter of time before the Loomis name was dropped. :D
There was a big thread on the main forum about this also....something about "your favorite rod", could look into that for opinions outside of MO.
Off the top of my head, in no particular order, I'd look at Wally Marshall's, Outlaw's, BnM's, and Ozarks for a start. As for length, it's all what you are comfortable with. I will fish with anything from a 9' to 14' depending on the scenarios!
Trust me, you'll have more responses and more options to this thread than you could even wish for in a few hours!

Just noticed you are from Sedalia....... I work for a company with manufacturing in Sedalia, although I live in Quincy, IL.
Ya'll are awful lucky to live in that area if you ask me.

I sure like it living here. I can be on the lake in thirty min. or less sometime. I plan on moving even closer in the next year or two.
I have heard a lot of good things about B n M and have a few Wally’s for trolling but never laid a hand on an Outlaw or Ozark. I don’t know where I would even find them at.
I would put my ozark up against any $300 loomis out there, as a matter of fact I have and I won............. $40 verus $300 doesn't take a rocket sicencest to figure that out........ or 7 ozarks for one loomis???????
A FISH IN THE PAN IS WORTH TWO IN THE LAKE

If that the case I will go with the Ozark hands down. I just have never had one in my hands before. I will be making that call in the next few min to see what he has. I just don’t feel right not having my go to rod anymore. The only reason I say G Loomis is that is what they sell at the pro shop here in town.
