    Default trolling

Any body trolling crank baits yet? I just watched the G3 sportsman and he and JR were catching them on cranks, prespawn. It looks like it will be a slow start here at the Bull. Water temp in Beaver Creek is 58 to 60 degrees. The lake is 47 to 48 degrees and water is already high. So long old brush piles! They are 4o foot deep already. We wonder if the cold temp isn't due to the pull on Taneycomo. They are keeping it low because of the new bridge being built in Branson. Just hoping for some real warm weather. The whites are running and a "few" crappie are being caught. Luck All !!

I usually start pulling when the water gets to 75 degrees or so. That being said, we wore them out last October pulling when the water was 64. I think it will work anytime of year but its most productive in warmer water

I usually start pulling cranks when the water temp gets around 65 or so which is arond the middle of may or so around here. I pull a lot of #4 shad raps and bandits on boards and snap weights to get them down 10-15'.

Open water mainly. At $5 each, dont like losing too many Bandits around trees

I mainly troll open water near the deep water break line on Table Rock. At Stockton it's over 30-50' of water. Also just out side of the tree lines in deep water. I have some routes I saved for Stockton that produced and kept me near the trees but not in them.

Speck, You ever use cranks at Wappapello? I've done a little of it at Stockton and Table Rock with pretty decent success, but never have tried it at Wapp. I figure it would be tough with all the stumps and brush, but I've always wanted to give it a shot. I'd just love to find a way to fish over there and not catch all the dinks.
