Default A little Father's Day Fishing & a Clean Boat

Went out for a few hours this morning, hit the Mississippi River again, above St. Louis in the Alton pool (pool 26). Ran up to Winfield Dam and still can't seem to find where the River Crappie live. Water is rising, so that doesn't help either. Tried to find some of the green fish too, but to no avail. I did wipe the ol' Skeeter down and put a bit of polish on it after I was done. Thought I'd post some pics, I am kind of proud of 'er.

The CDC stickers are ordered for both the truck and the boat, so, as always, if you see me on the water, stop and say hello! I'll be sure to do the same...

Oh, and Happy Father's Day to all the proud Pops out there!

Never fished the big rivers, heck I have enough trouble figuring out the crappie on Stockton! Nice Skeeter!

Nice boat. How fast does the Opti push you on the water?

That's a really nice boat! One thing, though - I think that engine is too big for it. For safety concerns, I'll swap you my 90hp motor for your 175hp. Just watching out for a fellow member...lol

Just wait to the water comes down. The river has some of the best crappie fishing that I've seen. I was on the river the first 40 years of my life. Then moved to Nixa Mo 10 years ago. I try to go back to New Madrid MO 3 or 4 times a year.
