Default OMG October isnt coming fast enough!!!

I can't wait for that first frost around the end of october! I LOVE COLD WEATHER!!! It's just too darned hot out on the open water for me. I like to catch em in that "GOTTA GET FULL FOR WINTER" mode.
A bad day fishing is better than a good day working anytime. So says the Perchmaster!!!

That is the best time of the year to fish. Cold water ...fish taste better...and hang on when you drop in that jig. I like the Fall fishing better than the Spring, weather is more stable and a heck-of-lot less wind, plus the crappie are in strike mode.

I love fall and winter fishing. Down here most everyone will be out , dragging around a 7mm, climbing trees, totin' dead deer and such. Me, I just take it easy in my old trusty boat, rear back in my seat, and enjoy the fishing. I can fish all day and never see another soul. Occasionally I can hear a gunshot off in the distance, but for the most part I'm the only human on the planet. And you're right about the fishes. They are more tastey coming out of cold water. And I usually get my biggest fishes in the winter.

Made me daydream for a minute about the tranquility...plenty of parking and no jet skis!

I can fish my FA VO RITE oxbow pretty much by myself and never have to worry about people running in on my good spots. Fish for hours and catch 30-40 even 50 fish cause the limit is 50. No sweating, sunburn, and usually no wind, OH what a life.
