    Talking butla


    Went to butla yes , had to get pass renewed, fished for 4 hrs got 1 keeper 15in and some throw backs. You can walk on the shad. A couple of weeks that place should turn on.

    The wife and I went to Arkabutla yesterday and caught 6, 2 of which were keepers. Went again today and caught 20 with 8 keepers. I agree with Jim, a few more weeks and some hot weather should get the lake right for fishing!

    I am thinking 225 in the gage...which is a month away or longer. I don't troll, not my cup of tea, so it may be longer.

    two favorite lakes are tunica cut-off and arkabutla and haven't been able to fish either one and here it is July.... good ole mother nature

    I fished Butla 3 days last week. My neighbor , his son and myself kept 42 the first day and only had to measure one. I went back the next day and kept 12, went the next day and didn't have a keeper. Typical Arkabutla. From what I've heard they haven't done much this week.
