STREN clear blue 6lb ONLY!!! I have used this line for a LONG time and never had a problem with it at all.
A bad day fishing is better than a good day working anytime. So says the Perchmaster!!!
If I'm jigging heavy brush, I ALWAYS use Braid. all of my other poles have 10 pound Cajun red lightning on them. I LOVE IT!!
Made a believer out of me last fall. Me and a buddy slow-trolling jigs and minnows. Had one leader tied with some hi-vis suffix line, and the rest with red. We caught around 30 fish, and not a single one on the hi-vis line....
I know it is not a big deal most of the time, but that day showed me that it makes a difference sometimes....
Right now I have switched to Berkley's Vanish Transition gold to clear color flurocarbon in 10lb. I love it and have used it to land largemouths and crappie alike with no problem. I use it on a spincast reel, and since I switched to using it I have had very few problems with backlash. Which beforehand I had major trouble using my old monofilament in 8lb. It also seems more sensitive to me.
A lot of people tell me they really like P-Lines Flurocarbon offerings.
