will the signal from the transducer still bounce back to the transducer? SO this is aming sideways?
My old Eagle ultra classic finds stuff in 1-2 foot of water. I will be looking sidewards 5-10 foot (by setting depth ranges). I have used my TM to point at stuff before. It worked, so I am thinking it should do ok. We will see. Cheap to build and gives me something to do. Truly redneck.Originally Posted by WarrenMN

You will probably get air bubbles while moving. I`m thinking you need a 90 degree system.
Yep signal will come back. Signal don't care what angle the xducer is mounte. , I can look down or look sideways by turning a knob (Knob position = Xducer angle). Thats my plan. Narrow channels and thick cover in my Jon boat.Originally Posted by sac-a-lait
