My old Eagle ultra classic finds stuff in 1-2 foot of water. I will be looking sidewards 5-10 foot (by setting depth ranges). I have used my TM to point at stuff before. It worked, so I am thinking it should do ok. We will see. Cheap to build and gives me something to do. Truly redneck.

Yep signal will come back. Signal don't care what angle the xducer is mounte. , I can look down or look sideways by turning a knob (Knob position = Xducer angle). Thats my plan. Narrow channels and thick cover in my Jon boat.
