    Default Which lake?

Me and a buddy are making plans on coming from Alabama to fish one of the Big 3 this spring. We fish out of kayaks and were wondering which one would be best in a yak.

Grenada would be my choice !
Which ever you choose just be careful in those yaks ! Pay attention to the wind! And those critters that hang around in those trees !
I always thought the big G gets nasty in a hurry (and it does) but you ant see squat yet until it gets nasty over their !
rode one those pop up storms out couple years ago and learned a lesson real quick ! thank goodness for a good bilge pump!
    Too blessed to be stressed!

lots of people stay at Cossar state park( on Enid) and fish which ever lake has best fishing due to wind . You would be on Enid and 30 minutes from Grenada or Sardis .

That sounds like a plan. I know it’s hard to say,but when would possibly be the best time frame to find them shallow??Id love to get on them in that standing timber in 1-2 feet of water like I’ve saw on videos.

March has always been good for thin water crappie.
Keep an eye on this thread, Sticky: Big 4 ramp launch levels
It has a link to the COE water levels and ramp levels.

    Cossar cabins:
Most have 2 queen beds in 1 room. #14 has 1 queen in 1 room with bathroom and 2 queens in 1 room with bathroom. # 15 and 16 are set up for groups.
It's been a long while since we used a cabin and things might have changed.
