In all my years at Pickwick I’ve seen law enforcement maybe 2-3 times?
With my luck, day of the funeral Barney would show up with a fire extinguisher and put me out

I remember being at wakes in the past, grandma when I was 13 and an uncle when I was 15, now I'm 73. Their open casket was in the living room of my aunt's house. From there they were carried to the church for the funeral and burial in the church cemetery. Graveside service with the casket lowered into the grave. Only went to a funeral home twice during my school years. I went to a funeral home for my wife's uncle a few weeks ago. Graveside service at the church cemetery. We were asked to leave before the casket was lowered.
I looked at an ad on marketplace for a 3 rod holder setup from Scotty for $75. Not much saving so I waited. Reduced to $50, I got the address and went after it. It didn't have the mount or post, got it for $40. Amazon price for the post and mount was $20.
My son sent me a link for an over the cab ladder rack, same person. Price started at $200, every week it reduced some. When it got to $75 we went after it. Made of square tube, 1 and 2 inch. Going to cut it up and use the long pieces for trailer edging over expanded metal. He said to click on the person's name for a list of things they have for sale. The person had 20 items, 4 were reloading equipment. I posted them on a reloading website, got 2 sold. I got home from picking them up and got a text. "If you have a way to get rid of the boat you can have the tandem trailer." It's a big boat and would be hard to get it out of the yard.
All this talk about funerals and the old ways reminds me of flipping through old family photo albums as a kid. Lot of pictures of folks laid out in caskets.
Seems a little creepy now, but back then it was the way they did things.

Yessir I get that. A twist I gotta put in for me, I am scooter trash plum to the core. Must have liquor and rowdy folks. Chicks! Dancing scantily clad (or better yet nekkid)
I am in process of rolling up the only patch I will probably ever wear. But I still have brothers I think will make this happen. True brothers transcend patches.

I always liked the idea that my Dad had. He always said when he was gone, just drag him to a hillside and let the coyotes take care of him. The take the funeral money and throw a big party. My standard joke back was, yeah but what do we do with your feet? Cause looking at them things, not even a coyote would touch em. Lol.
