Slip cork...sinker....jig or minnow
I am taking the family camping at sardis this weekend for fall break but wont be doing much boat fishing....we plan to fish at the spillway and off the banks along the campground. I havent fished a spillway very much what is some basic tackle I need for spillway fishing- keep in mind my wife and kids just want to catch something, doesnt have to be crappie...just trying to figure out what best tackle and techniques for this type of fishing

What g said... I’m not real familiar with Sardis spill way but Grenada you can wear the bass out along the rocks with a spinner bait... could prolly catch some catfish in there to with some worms

White bass can be caught just below the outlet tunnel at the dam. Use a couple of small jigs or small crankbaits, white or chartruse. Best method at the spillway is if you see folks catching fish, do what they are doing!
So...how did it go? Did you catch some fish ?
