I guess you can also get in trouble for giving fish to a girlfriend or one you want to be a friend of...as in trading:D

I have people all the time that try to buy fish from me and I won't sell them any...then they want to give money for expenses...I tell them there is no expense...fishing is a luxury and catching a lot of fish is....PRICELESS

I think some of these people that are snagging fish at Arkabutla and bring them back to Memphis and selling them the next morning. I bet some of you out there have seen the same ones I am talking about.

sounds like he was trading them for something. You can GIVE any legally caught fish away as you please. Can't trade or offer for trade or sell or offer to sell game fish...

I bet 227 would arrest you if you gave your neighbor a load of fish one day that were legally caught, and a week later your neighbor gave you a pie his wife made from fruits out of his garden.

Hey Rob, were you in on the big crappie bust?

I bet if they check theres locals that are selling them also. That or they have 50 freezers.
Show me someone that is catching a limit each and every day. And doing that for weeks on end. There sure feeding the whole county or something.

I do know we have people come to Pickwick, Catch a few hundred pounds of catfish from Ms. Then take them south and sell them. They even brag about doing it.

Catfish is legal to trade or sell if you have a commercial license. Crappie is not. This guy should be publicly outted so we can all have a go at rediculing him. And PC, there are NO EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES that make it ok to break the law. It doesnt matter if it saves someones life to do so. There is no excuse. There are always other (LEGAL) ways to make a buck.

A bad day fishing is better than a good day working anytime. So says the Perchmaster!!!

In Tn if there caught by a sportsman. You can't sell them. And these guys are fishing on out of state fishing license. Not commercial.

I'll give yall permission to save my life even if it means breaking the law. There are certain self defense statutes that allow you to break the law to save someone else's life.
