Thanks Doug! I got cabin 18 for Thursday and Friday! The lady I talked to was supper nice!
I got a call from a lady at Sportsman's Resort on Jonathan Creek yesterday asking if I knew how any rooms/cabins might be needed for that week/weekend. I know G and Cray are already booked in a cabin. The resort is about 10 miles from Mike Miller Park but is on the water at Jonathan Creek and have a great ramp and cleaning station. They would normally be closing around that time but will accommodate any bookings for our event. It's not a 5 star place but it is clean and comfortable, have decent rates, plus it is close to LBL and other attractions. They deal with fishermen every day so boats and guys that smell like fish are right up their ally.
PM me for contact info or you can link to it on my web site.

Our camper is about a 1/2 mile from Sportsman's, so we will be in the neighborhood! If it's anywhere like this past fall, it's gonna be on like donkey kong!

Scottymoe and I will be in cabin 14 from Wednesday till Sunday. We are going to pre fish Thursday and if somebody will help us out and tell us some places to fish we will appreciate it. What activities will be going on Saturday. Never been to a shindig so have I have no idea what is happening. If we need to bring food or anything let us know.
In the past we would have seminars on crankbait fishing, singlepole fishing, fishing electronics, and updates from area fish biologists/wardens. Will have cast iron cooking dishes, potluck, and fried fish. Mid-afternoon is the cobbler/ice cream break. There has been in the past a table of items for sale/trade and some of the guys bring their boats to display different setups.
Not it sure on this years events. Maybe Dean or others will jump in with answers. It is always a family fun event.
You might consider bringing some soft drinks or maybe a couple gallons of sweet tea. Lots of times we will run to Food Giant which is less than a mile away if we see we need anything.
What kind of fishing will you guy be planning on doing? I'll be glad to help you since I won't be able to fish the Fruit Jar. Wife has already put her foot down on that. Same goes for anybody else who wants to let me know.

We do mostly long line pulling and will do tight lining also. I am buying 8 of the southern crappie heavy 14 ft rods to do some pushing. We can do whatever is the best technique at the time
