I've started adding some feathers to a few of my crankbaits,,, they look pretty good , but I am still up in the air about weather to do too many... What do you guys think,,,add some tails or No tails?
Just wondering g if anyone has tested the tail - no tail theory yet as far as catching fish go,,,,,when I was a young kid,,, I used to tip all my lures with bacon and swore it caught fish when regular lures wouldn't...same with pork rinds and catching stripes...

I learned from an old crappie fisherman that caught fish on every trip to tip my hand tied jigs with a piece of pork rind when I fished the river oxbows years ago. Don't know why I quit using it.
Tails will help you catch all the white bass you could ever want on COE lakes.

Does it effect the action of the crankbait any? Just curious...

If it works like an arrow does ,, it may help stabilize the crankbaits by adding weight and drag to the rear,,,

Couple of years ago I sat down and tied up a bunch of hooks with kiptail with flags, just flash and some with silicone skirt material. Plain hooks way out caught the dressed hooks. And like Yikes said it definatley will increase the white bass bite. Needles to say I stripped alll my hooks off and went back to plain.
