I was reading about fishing licenses expiration date and a thought flashed through my foggy mind and a question occurred to me. What does one have to do to be declared a Mississippi residence as far as qualifying for a life time fishing license?

First thing is you must be a full time resident, with a Sippi DL.
We only sell the Best. Ranger, Xpress, Yamaha, Suzuki, Tohatsu.
You have to prove that you have been a MS resident for at least 18 months

Sucker bet. Put 1000 in something drawing 1.5 percent or more and interest will pay for license and you will still have the 1000 if you needed it.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
The two loudest sounds are a gun that goes bang when it is supposed to go click and one that goes click when it is supposed to go bang.

I don't know why buying a Lifetime license is a sucker bet. I believe investing in Mississippi's present and future resources and outdoors is as good of an investment there is. Mississippi has great hunting and fishing. Sure you can go with the flow and purchase license as needed. Whether that would be a 3 day or yearly ones. If someone wants to spend 1k and not have to worry about price increases, not having to renew or the old "but officer, I didn't' know my license had expired". So sucker bet - I don't see it. MDWFP Mission Statement
The mission of the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks is to conserve and enhance Mississippi’s wildlife, fisheries, and parks, provide quality outdoor recreation, and engage the public in natural resource conservation. The MDWFP's annual budget is unlike that of many state agencies; approximately 90% of this budget is derived from user generated funds rather than state tax funds. Primary funding sources include hunting and fishing license sales, permit and registration fees and federal excise taxes on hunting and fishing equipment. I wish Tn charged what ms does to hunt and fish. Ours is getting outright high. Reminds me time to Spend $120. For us to fish Ms again for a year.
