I will have to see it to believe it. I might could see it if we were catching several short fish, but we haven't been.
Talked to a Warden the other day at Engineers... He has been part of studies on these lakes since 1984... In our :45 conversation he talked about the numbers that go out the spillway, the ups and downs of spawns and water levels and he told me they knew this year was going to be tough because of the low water we had 3yrs ago... Think back on 3 yrs ago and maybe you can remember the drought we had, the great numbers and size everybody caught...OH YEAH... Since then the grass has been in the lakes and the water has been high... They are saying the next few years will be great fishing...

It's CRAPPIE season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Big Blue, thats spot on what i was told and in line with what several of us have discused on the lake while fishing, also they agree that with all the water, alot of the bigger fish have spawned deeper and a little later than in previous yrs.

Some of us that fish more than most are catching pleanty of dinks this yr, and also some dang good fish...gota think out of the box, i.e., new water and fishing ideas on these lakes, there is alot of water most never look twice at. It's worked for me this yr. I have seldom fished the " tried and true " areas and methods this yr.

I don't think the biologist have a clue either. If they did we'd still have 12" limit.

Looks to me like you guys should be voiceing your thoughts, suggestions, and complaints to the MDWF&P instead of here.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.
