    Default The Kid takes Grenada with tournament record crappie!


    Not long after 7 a.m. I had the pleasure of witnessing a once in a lifetime opportunity for anyone, let alone a 12 year old boy. We had decided early February he would fish Grenada with me. Every week he would ask " uncle Lance how many days until Grenada "? We took the big mama open with a 3.92 crappie ! anyone that knows me, knows I'm rarely at a loss for words but the weight of this fish left me speechless.. But for a short time. Layne's Grandparents and I would like to thank everyone that helped make this such a special day for him. Some names off the top of my head: War Eagle Sponsors, Bandit Crank Baits, Ken Middelton, David McWilliams, Paul Johnson, Fishing For Education, Bernard Williams, Kent Driscoll and B&M Staff and all other MCC sponsors. There are just too many to name.

    It was totally awesome to witness this fesh getting weighed, when the scale locked on the final weight crowd just drawed in closer and closer to gock at this amazing fish, congrats to Layne for catching a fish to 2 of you will never forget!!!!
