You will be in the shadows of the dam. There are boat ramps at either end. Beech Point to the north and Engineers Point on the south end. I personally prefer Engineers Point ramp much better than Beech point.
C.Cers,
I am very excited about this coming Fri. and Sat. I will be fishing with my father and grandfather at Sardis Lake. 3 generations in the boat! I have only been to Sardis one time and that was on good friday when my dad paid a guide to take us out. We had a blast and are itching to get back down there and try to do it ourselves this time.
We will be camping in my grandfathers RV and are looking for a Corp campground preferably near the dam because that is the area we would like to fish. I was told the Oak Grove Campground would be my best bet. I am just hoping some of you can confirm that or make another recommendation. Is there a Corp campground close to the dam or that end of the lake that has a boat launch in the upper lake?
Thanks for any info you guys can provide.
If you see 3 rednecks in a Fisher Mod V on Fri. and Sat. that look lost; that will be us!
no matter what I'm doing, I've got hunting or fishing on my mind...

Launch from Engineers Point and go East. Way East until you find all the other boats.

Sardis has only come up .33 in the past 24 hours. Im sure it will rise a little more but you will be fine for the weekend. U sure cant catch em at home and if Sardis has only risen .33 in the last 24 I dont see it doing to much more and the fishing should be fine.
