Default Too Many Out Of Staters In Mississippi

man i have never seen anything like the number of out of staters in my life. i mean its crazy every where you look there are 50 boats with a mo or il on the side of them most of them drive those lund boats that need to be in the ocean instead of blowing huge wakes near our boats all the out of state people ive come in contact with have been rude drive right by you wide open like they never saw you they wont wave or anything. and they hogg up the boat ramps mississippi used to be a peaceful state full of hospitality and fun hunting and fishing with friends and neighbors now we are forced to be not so nice and have to fight for a place to fish in our own lakes...mwfp please lets jack up the prices for the out of staters a grand a day naw make it 2 grand a day that aught to thin em out a little

On the contrary, out of the 25 tickets I have written in the last week, only 4 of them have been to non-residents.

The rest have been to home folks, fishing within 10 miles of their house, for over limit, too many short fish, no license, no life jackets and no boat registration.

I am pleased with the behavior of our non-resident guests in my area.

killa, I mean bulldog may be on to something. let's lease the lake for 250,000 off of the state and then we can have guides charge 2500 a person for 5 days of fishing, which would just about guarantee you a 3 lb trophy and keep everyone else out.arrest anyone that trespasses and we can brag about how good of fishermen we are. sort of like the deer hunting up here
then, in a few years, we will get nuisance licenses to kill a bunch of fish, because they will be overpopulated. like up here.

hey guys, i just got back to MO from your state last week. had a great time and caught plenty of fish. not all out of staters are rude and disrepectful. not all people from mississippi are kind either but i will say that most of the people i encountered were very friendly and out-going. you are all lucky to have such a great resource close by. these lakes that i fish are all corp lakes and were built by federal dollars and maintained with federal dollars for you and anyone else to enjoy. you are all welcome to come and fish our lakes as well. i encourage it. you guys do grow them big down there and that is of course what attracts everyone to your state. my buddy and i had a great vacation down there together and we will be back next year for sure. when you see a camo war eagle boat with MO on it, say hi or wave and i'll do the same. til then, have a great fishing season!

chuck the point that killa cant get beyond is this although those lakes might have been built with Federal monies and the lake it self maintained The State maintains the areas around the water..ie ramps parks and campgrounds. Some see it as a locally funded lake.

I think this is where the rub lays. ITs built by Feds but to get there you have to pass thru state operated areas...

Personally everyone should reduce limits to protect the fish. Even ME

Change the limits to 10 per day. This will keep away those folks wanting to come down to fill their freezers. Should reduce the crowds a little and preserve the fish population.

That is what we are going to have to do, I am not pleased with the behavior of our non-resident guests in my area.s. My family was fishing along with a bunch of people on a creek a Enid and a boat from IL came up the ditch running a 50 HP half way open. That is just one example,I can name many.We have some real nice people here in MS but we have some real mean one's two. What wurry's me is that some one like that is going to run across one of these MS rednick's and there going to be trouble.
