Glad you got out and tried it. Nothing beats time on the water for learning.Went out and pulled cranks yesterday. Caught a 10# Carp, 2# White Bass, a really small smallmouth, and probably the second largest crappie that I have ever caught in my life. Didn't take any pictures. Didn't keep any fish and wanted to get'em back in the water. I learned quite a few things yesterday. Some are (1) that trolling with 3 poles in a lake with lots of standing trees sure will make some fancy and big knots when my lines tangle. (2) Two poles are more than enough for me to maintain by myself. At least untill I get this style of fishing down better. (3) I still tend to fish the places that I know and am still way too impatient investigating new places. I went back to an area that I had caught fish before instead of staying with a pattern that I first started with yesterday. Again, thanks for all the info!
