yeah, they suggest 2 different colors when using braid.
I am trying power pro 30 on a couple with 10 pound stren on a couple so when I tangle them up I can see how to untangle them. With all braid I had a mess. At least with the combo I can tell which line goes where.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
The two loudest sounds are a gun that goes bang when it is supposed to go click and one that goes click when it is supposed to go bang.

New to crappie trolling and the site. Many thanks to all contributors for the great tips.
I learned the hard way about staggering colors this moring before alternating rods to, High viz, green, mono, green & high viz.
I've got a couple of questions that I may have missed browsing the thread.
Do yall use swivels on your braid pulling cranks? I know if you don't use one with mono, a fouled bait twister will ruin a spool in a hurry. I've never noticed a problem with braid getting twisted.
It seems like most people are using 300s over 200s and I'm wondering if its common to mix the two sizes. We had good luck and smoother fishing today when we ran 200s on the outside rods way out long with Deep Little N's short in the middle. Is this a common method for staggering lines to prevent tangles?
Thanks again
Hi guys.. I need suggestions on how to pull cranks and only get them down 4'. I've been pulling 100's but they still get to deep with 15' of line out. Where I fish the max depth is 8-10'. I would like to get the cranks further behind the boat than 15'. I did try a Strike king KVD 1.0 square bill and it did catch some. I thought about up sizing my line but it would be easier if I could find cranks that would run the depth needed...
10 feet of line out will put you 4 foot deep. raise your rod tips up so that is farther from the back of the boat where the line enters the water. If you have 30 foot of line out before the line enters the water you will need 40 feet out to get to 4 feet deep. that should put you far enough behind the boat It only starts counting once the line enters the water.
what size line you using?
These are the 11 colors I have started with. 3 of each.
Give a man a fish and feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish and he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day!
Good start, next time add Sardis Gold. All those will catch em tho. Go fishing!!!!!
