Up until Thursday.....
....the big river had been kicking out a pretty nice crappie bite. Some of these fish were in the 13 inch and larger range. We managed a few 14's in the last couple weeks.
The cold front/weather shift that came along on Thursday morning pretty well slammed the door on this nice bite. Lots of fish on plastic and plenty on the Gulp minnows. Sunfish seemed a little tougher to reach all along but every now and then one would show up on a jig.
Once we get thru this bump in the weather-road we should be back on track with the dandy fall crappie bite.
