Thread: MTCC Woods Res Tourney Results Sept 20th 2014

MTCC had 12 boats fish our two division tournament this past Saturday at Woods Reservoir. One division is for the guys who have tourney fished with the club for a while and have multiple wins and the other division is for newer folks or for those who have not yet experienced that. We decided to give this a try back in August for at least till the end of the year to see if we like it and after three tournaments, we have went from having one boat go home a winner to having two boats go home as winners and it just seems to have sort of upped the entire moral even more as everybody enjoys going home winning from time to time and this way sends two boat loads home to wifes and families with a story of I won the tourney today.

We had 11 of our 12 boats yesterday weigh in fish and the one that didn't weigh in had a couple keepers but needed to leave early due to an illness. In our Elite division Saturday, John Wells and Joey Davis won with 7 fish weighing 6.30 pounds and in our regular series division, Tom Rein and Jerry Cartwright won with 5.05 pounds. Randy Clark was the over all big fish winner with a nice 1.57 pound slab he caught at 1:45 in the afternoon. We failed to take photos at this tourney for some reason, so no photos of the winners. I think all our brains were fried from baking in the sun so long. Congratulations to all these winners.

We did have our club fish fry this past Thursday night and photos were taken there. Here are just a couple from the fish fry. We all went home full as the food everybody brought was awesome.
