that happen to me last year except i stopped to get bate and a license was in a hurry and forgot the license
we were fishing a dock today in a narrow slew and were catching fish when I heard a boat coming into the slew. I turned and asked Jerry if he had a license and he said yes"got them last year" Then I ask him did you get the new ones that start today and he gave me a puzzled look.I told him dont worry those guys coming in that big shiny boat coming this way will explain.....Yep we were invaded by the TWRA..I ask him to stop in the middle of slew and I would come to them so not to spook the fish. Well after a thorough inspecting they gave him a warning about the license since he did have last years and took his ID number to check later.......Thanks to TWRA for hiring officers with common sense.

It is nice when they are like that, I've talked to a couple in my area when I see 'em, and they seem like decent guys, but they have never done an inspection on me tho. Guess they kinda did one while standing around the boat chattin'. LOL
GO BIG ORANGE !
I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.
that one little stop before you go fishing can save alot of money in the long run.i've been checked before but have always been legal.
GOD loves fishermen, the earth is 75% water
It's cheaper to be legal.....plus you don't get any "OH NO!" feelings when one pulls up on you. Keep everything legal and up to date!
Here's a tip not everyone knows, The life jackets that have the CO2 operated by pull cord are not legally life jackets unless you are wearing them. In the storage locker doesn't count. I don't know why it doesn't count but it was explained to me by a TWRA officer thy they must be on your body to be considered a life jacket. If you have the regular types in the lockers then you are fine.....as long as there are enough to account for everybody in the boat.
I got mine Sat before I hit the water.

Great to hear that your friend only go a warning. Easily forgotten. Where was that slew you were at so I do not spook the fish there.....
Secretary of Da Fish!
We were fishing Dale Hollow 6 weeks ago, got checked by an officer. The owner of the boat we were in hadn't registered the boat in his name since he had bought it a year ago. He just got a warning too.....and still hasn't registered the boat. The numbers are valid til 2013 and he doesn't want to pay the taxes on the purchase (from a private party).
Randy we were up by where the nats were fling real bad that one day that the coon was in that tree over on the bank and the squirrel was hiding his nuts in that culvert that you cant see if you are in a boat. You know, when the lake is low you can see that rock that kinda looks like a mans head well really it dont but someone said it did so I took it home.Heck that wont help since the rock aint there no more...How do I point it out to you?....If you go in thAT SLEW WHERE THAT MAN WAS SETTING ON HIS DOCK FISHING ON mAY THE 2ND 1998 at around dark ,or it might have been daybreak, I cant remember, anyway that slew across the lake from there aint it....Try this put in at the ramp by the dam and turn left wait a minute dont do that or you will run off the end of the lake and you dont wanna do that cause the crappie fishing sux down there plus the possum sheriff might be down there checking trout stamps...Here is how you cant tell where we were ....Gofind the TWRA boat and look for a dock close to it... that is the only place Ihave seen the boat on Tims this year so they must stay there all the time......I, along with yall will be glad when the time changes. Im about to go nuts in the dark......Hope this helped Randy......

The most sensible explanation I ever heard you give. Even a blind man could find that spot now.![]()
