    Default lower unit

changed the oil in my lower unit sat. and noticed there was water in it (about 1/2 cup). called buddy at winchester marine, carried it up there tuesday,he called wed. afternoon an it was ready.he had to replace a couple of seals, the water pump and afew other odd and ends.buddy did give a tip for the day.after every 3 or 4 trips on the water check the seal behind the prop.for fishing line, that may be wrapped around the shaft.there was quiet a bit around mine.

thanks to buddy & heather for getting me back on the water so quick

    ps

Don't forget the TM shaft also. Small pieces get wrapped and broke off and we don't know about it cuz it's from where someone got broke off. Good time of year to check the wheel bearings on the trailer while you're out there pokin around too.

Im glad you got yourself all hooked up and ready there BOS. You got me to thinking about my own boat and got me to checking it out. I inspected and repacked my wheel bearings just last night. Also took off boat prop and no line but I did notice my prop nut wasn't as tight as I would have liked it to be. Glad I checked that. Great fishing is here now and gonna get even better in the next few days and weeks. Cant wait.

PS> Hope nobody suffers any kind of a loss today, but they are really talking like Tn is gonna get some really nasty weather.

I drove through 2 and had storms bouncing all around the house today, but all is well. I was real nervous being gone and this bad weather giving the wife fits. Hope everyone else did as good as I did.

Yea Buddy does great work. He did a great job on my lower end. My steering system he put in works great also. It is like driving a new boat.
