Thread: memorial day evening

after the big fish get together,(congrats again john and luke)i went home and thought my wife had plans to go do something for the rest of the holiday.she did, she wanted to go fishing(how lucky i'm i)so we hooked the boat up and headed out.our daughter who is 19 has never been in my boat,she's always had something going on when ever i would ask her to go with me.until today she was ready to go.we get to the water @4:30 and head out.chelsea mainly wanted to boat ride but i didn't see that happening.we got to a spot,i baited her hook told her about how deep to drop her line and wait for the bite.about 30 mins. or so she was talking on the phone to one of her friends(imaging that)when she got a bite and hauled in what was probably the biggest crappie of the day.she was so excited,she went on and caught several by the end of the day.we had 6 nice keepers with alot of 10" fish and a bunch of shorts.it was a great evening out on the water with my wife and lil'girl.she really enjoys driving daddy's boat also,she did a great job.i may have an inspiring partner coming onall fish were caught in 10 to 14 fow,and all released,to be caught again:D
