Wtg man. Great report. Thanks for posting.
After the monsoons receded and some breakfast eaten, My Brother Jim and I met Motorhead and his brother on woods for a little fun today. Didn't start til 10:30, a late start for me. I had seen some fish being caught Tuesday and they were there again today, just outside the perimeter weedline. Caught 9 or 10 keepers from there and moved when we had beaten them up a bit. Went to several other places, finding no fish til the last place, which will remain nameless. Ended the day at about 4 or so with 21 nice keepers seen in the pic below. This is my first good catch of this season, and it couldn't have been spent in better company. We finished about even, doubling up now and then. Jim lives near Atlanta and hasn't found the fish in his lake as yet, but the search is ongoing. No giants caught today, biggest about 1.25. Threw back more than we kept so it was a fun, busy day. :D Hope y'all are having as much fun as we did today. Wind was tough and the ride to the ramp an experience. First time I've put the boat on the trailer with the wind at about 20mph straight out the back of the boat. All that said, a great day for us.

That'll work, nice catch!!
Didn't want to get blown around on Guntersville today, so we went back to Woods for a repeat of yesterday. Almost got it done but we came up a few short. Took home 12 and had to work for em. Got around, no one place really produced a lot but all produced a few. Good day, the wind got aggravating but it was better than yesterday. Here I am holding a couple, Jim caught the white which was the big fish of the day. We go again in the mornin and then he has to go home, but it's been a good time. :D

Jim had to go home today, but not before we chased a few fish of other colors on Tim's this morning. It was 39 or so when we slid the boat in with a light fog rising off the water. Eased down to a slough not too far off and fished while waiting for the sun to do it's job. The day was tough with very few caught including shorts. Haven't chased the Bass for a while but was glad to find this one that we had seen chasing bait about 10 minutes before we got in range. My personal best at 3.1lbs:D. Never boated a keeper Crappie, a disappointment after the last 2 days. So it goes. Thanks for looking and sharing my vacation with me and my Brother. Tight lines........

skeet, I use to catch them in the grass and just out from the grass this time a year on woods. I have not been to Woods in well over a year though. The last time I fished there I think I caught mine at the bridge. Usually the cove not right at the old ski ramp but I think the one before that, if they were not shallow you could back out a little in about 10 to 14 foot of water and catch some there and then on the big laydown that is in that cove. caught some nice fish there. Glad you found some fish.
looks like you and your brother had some good times together.nice catches...
GOD loves fishermen, the earth is 75% water
Glad you and your brother had a great week. It was nice to meet him at the gas station enroute to the tournament. A great day on the water but only few keeper fish for us during the tournament.
