Makes sense once you think about it.
I was getting ready to head toward Wisconsin, to pick up my boat.
Was looking at all my gear, hitch, receiver, ball, etc.
Looked at my hitch pin and it was BENT. I thought Huh?
So, I went to Richfield Trailer and RV, walked in with the old one.
The guy who is always there, looks at, and before I say anything he says more as a statement than a question "Your trailer has hydraulic brakes Doesn't it"
Said, "Yeah, how did you know?" He said, "Bent hitch pin, see it all the time"
Evidently, it's a known issue, that they bend after time, due to the actuator for the hydraulic brakes slamming back and forth.
Got a new hitch pin, he said use the old one as a spare, but not to trust it for use if I like what I am towing, I scraped it.
So, check those hitch pins before spring.
