Bob, the guys I know fish them with stoneflies, Wigglers flies, egg flies, caddis flies and egg sucking leech flies. They also fish jigs under bobbers and use spawn sacks or wax worms on the jigs.

I've caught them on jigs and 3" curly tailed grubs while fishing for walleye and minnows under a bobber fishing for pike and smallmouth. Only caught 3-4 over many years of fishing the river.

I was just curious I come from the north west where there are a lot of steel head and we fish a little bit different but we do use salmon eggs and Oki drifters in spinning Glos even drift nightcrawlers. I have never drifted jigs when I used to fish for them was back in the late 50s and 60s

I fish for them. I use spawn bags and 1/32 oz. white leadhead jigs tipped with waxworms. Under a slip bobber, of course
