I assume he couldn't afford the bigger motor OR, he was hoping for a high enough finish to get the Mercury motor upgrade.

Not only are they in a hurry on the water, but at the launch and now on the road!

Boat doesn't look as fast on dry land!

Sponsored by the local asphalt company!

Looks like he already replaced the lower unit once!

Wonder if he has a keel saver?

Least they had the nav lights in.

Aren't all the com0etitors supposed to be wearing a pfd when the boat is moving above idle speed?

I got more... I especially love old Mutt and Jeff (old comic reference) standing at the back of the trailer looking at it like it was the trailers fault.
Couple quick answers for Rich. 250 HP is largest allowed in the Bassmaster Elites. The lower unit is the high torque edition and comes silver. All the Mercury pros have the silver lower units and they all have keel guards. He was in the water and fishing shortly after the picture and did not miss any time. Did not do any bad damage. They have a large crew as well as Tow Pro in attendance at all the tournaments. Plenty of help to get it back on the trailer and launched. He caught over 32 lbs for his 10 fish the first 2 days, only good enough for 87th place and did not fish this weekend. Looks like it will take right at 100 lbs for the winner. 20 fish 5 lb average. Smallmouth bass. In New York. And yes they have to have there pfd on if the big motor is running while they are in the water.

I'm glad nobody snapped a picture the day Captain Sinky dumped my boat on the launch at Jordan Lake, 6' shy of the water. Other wise Steve would make me famous. Bass boat or not, that would stink!

Got my roofing job done, gutters cleaned out, yard cleaned up, tools hauled home and was just getting home from picking up the dump trailer when it started to sprinkle. Three long, hard days, I'm glad it's Saturday!

I was going to pull Dons leg a little and tell him you hurt it last time out fishing when you and David were locked in battle.

Enjoyed the visit, next week is pretty open so maybe we'll end up in a boat somewhere. Like I told you, I have a movers dolly, I'll get you in the boat one way or the other.

    Good morning!
It is rare I ever sleep past 5:30 but this morning 8:30!
Must be a relaxing day on the water yesterday ( salmon jigging with OE) did it. Rain, wind fog we had it all, we managed to get a few undesirable fish too.

Jeff after I get this siding job finished I’ll have a day to take you fishing.....maybe it would work out that Jerry would have a day to go too.
