Spartan, welcome to the site first off . It would be grand if you could make it to the spring camp. It's a pretty laid back affair. Very family friendly where kids are encouraged to attend. Keep an eye out for more details to be posted in the near future too. Ready2fish from the GR area comes up, but has a family cabin close and usually stays there, so if you said you had a similar situation, that works great.

I am not sure if I am going to be able to make it now. One of my best friends just sent me a save the date card for his wedding and I am going to have to travel for it. I am already going to be pressed for vacation time this year.

Well we sure will miss you, but it's real swell of you to lend us your boat for the weekend.

I spit sweat tea all over my desk! Ride the goat around the campsite!! Do you think MICDC can purchase a goat? Who gets to keep it between camps? My vote is for Don. He is newly retired and currently doesn't have a dog. Maybe a toy goat. I wonder if Abbey (the dog) would get along with the goat?

So, Spartannation... I assume you would be close to Lansing? Not many of us from this area. Welcome to the site. I work in Lansing and live between Lansing and Jackson (East of Mason out by Dansville).

These camps are always a good time. Members of this site get together, share good stories, good food, and tons of laughs. We make lasting friendships that continue after the camps are over. We connect on more than just Crappie fishing. Many of us simply share a love for the outdoors. Never have I been a member of another site or forum that shares as much camaraderie and information as the people on this site do. Not just in the state of Michigan, but around the U.S.

You won't see the negative comments you see in other locations. Don't be afraid to post pictures. I know of some sites that people seem to give people a hard time. Here, it is like back in the old days when friends congratulated others on a nice catch, a fine deer harvested, or so on.

Our camps are family friendly. Many of us bring our children, grand children, family friends, kids friends, and so on. You will see kids fishing, riding bikes, playing on the swing sets, and having a good time. You will see members sitting around camp fires, walking in an out of other sites, and sharing a common bond. At times it is hard to tell who's campsite is who's. You will not be disappointed if you attend.
