Have you tried a "WTB (want to buy)" post in the "personal classified ads" forum at the bottom of the main forum? Will target a much larger audience.

I believe you are referring to the Shakespeare "Travel Mate" rod series. Or the Shakespeare "Pack Rod" series.

Not sure of the exact specifics for rods you are looking for but I did a quick online search and found several brand new rigs for under $20 dollars. Cabelas, Bass Pro, even Walmart sells them. Both in a spinning as well as a casting rod platform.

One of the Crappie.Com sponsors "FISHUSA" also has them.

I had one as a kid. Used to rid my bike trout fishing all the time and had one that went with me on the handle bars.

If you do a google search, type in the following: shakespeare telescoping fishing rod

Should give you all the information you are looking for as well as the best price to buy one.

Yes I seen those also in my search, but what Iam looking for is the original one with the bullet nose front cover, they were either a black or Dk. gray color, this is why I posting it on this site because being in Michigan there would be some still around

Thanks for the help any ways I think these rods will work god with the Shakespeare reels they seem to be well balanced.

Good to know you found something that will work for you. Finding the right equipment, especially older equipment can be challenging sometimes.
