Very nice post and great pix. If the white bass has a dark red bloodline , trim it out of the filet. Will taste better.
So yesterday morning, while loading my kayak for another training session in preparation for my 120 mile paddle coming in two weeks, I decided to include take some panfishing gear for when I finished. I haven't fished much this year do to all the training, so we haven't had very many fish dinners, and I have been wanting some fresh fish.
Well the training session, five sprints of one mile each, went great and before I knew it I was sitting on some open water that just happened to loaded with feeding bluegills, crappie, and white bass. In just over an hour I had a good limit on my stringer, plus one white bass to take home and try since we have never eaten them, and at 11 inches, it had a decent size filet on it.
Schools of white bass. crappies, and gills in the 8 - 11 inch range, were surface feeding and were eager to take my bait.
It is not about the equipment you have to use,
It is about how you use the equipment you have. :D
Very nice post and great pix. If the white bass has a dark red bloodline , trim it out of the filet. Will taste better.
