Congrats on the first ever. Are you still cleaning? Thanks for sharing folks.
As most of you know, were pretty new to this Crappie fishing, about 1 1/2 years. On Labor Day evening we decided to go to a new lake and look around. We just cruised around slow till we found some suspended fish. We started marking fish in large schools. I set the anchor, put the 712 Reel-Lite in the water, grabbed the ice rods with the Lindy Jigs, tipped them with minnows. The fish were biting so fast it was like a frenzy. In a couple hours we had 50 Crappie, and threw back many. I don't usually try to get my limit. This was going on so fast they just counted up quick. 12" was the biggest, most averaged 9-10" Never had a better fishing trip.

VERY impressive Larry. I assume you were fishing on a small lake? Fishing on Labor Day on many lakes would have been a life threatening activity for a guy like me in a small boat. KNOWUDDAMEAN???
