slabs; i know of a great place that i have never had any company that holds huge gills every year about this time. it is just outside the canal on a small hump. let me know if you are interested in finding it. Is on houghton btw..!

yes, on the west side of lake, behind Coyles . And of course I want to know where you are talking about Jim.
An update on yesterdays trip. Killed em. Gills by the hundred and about 70 specks. The gills were all 6 - 8 inchers and the specks were all 7 - 10 inches. I kept a few specks and loaded up on the gills since there were so many. They made for a great fish fry last night. Nothing better than fresh gills and crappie that have never been frozen.
It is not about the equipment you have to use,
