Default repairing MINN KOTA 50 Endura

I am having trouble replacing the plastic bushings that have wore out in the clamp bracket of my Endura 50 lb. thrust trolling motor. I unscrewed the bolt on the motor head that holds it to the shaft. After taking out the bolt the head will turn on the shaft and it will move about 1" but it will not come all the way off of the shaft. I have to take the head off and the clamp bracket in order to replace the bushings. Can anybody tell me how it comes apart??? THANKS!!

Did you disconnect the wires coming up from the motor, thru the shaft, to the head?

THANKS.... I took off the cover and sure enough the wires were the problem. I feel so dumb now................ not mechanically inclined!!! Took it apart and installed the bushings and it went back together no problem. Did think ahead enough to make a note where the wires went.
