Honestly, this would be a very easy fix,but my concern would be why it broke. Its hard to fathom the u bolt being torqued enough to crack the frame, but perhaps a combination of over torquing and an impact is what caused the break. It might be wise to check any other places on the frame that might possibly be stressed.
I don't know that it's possible for a tight or over tightened u bolt to cause that break. A loose one might cause it.
I guess it's possible. That metal is pretty thin. I'm use to semi trailer frames and u bolts so that's a little different. We tighten those with a 3/4" impact, then heat them red with a rosebud and tighten some more. That gets them really tight.
Just got word they are building me a new trailer. Pretty much identical but will actually be a 1250 lb trailer instead of a 900 pound. It will have 12 inch tires instead of 8 inch tires. I think that will mostly be good because the boat sits low and I can hardly see it out of my truck but we'll make it a little more difficult to launch in shallow water I assume.

That's good news, glad to see the company stand behind their product.
