The old line was so clogged, hardly any fuel could get thru. Fuel line replacement was $60 so just bought fuel line for $1 a foot and bought new ends for line for 1/5th the cost at the local auto parts store. Owned evinrude/Johnson all my life with 1 mercury. Yamaha is the BEST I have ever had!
that is similar to what mine would do !!! if the fuels is grey or silver which mine was the the inside of the fuel line has a clear tube which becomes faulty and starts to deteriorate and clogs the line so only a small amount of fuel gets thru the line !!! and seems to only show up when the motor is put under a load like full throttle !!! what I did was go the Napa auto parts store and got my fuel line that was rated for ethanol fuel to be on the safe side !!! I always do seafoam and sta-bil on every fill up !!!!!

my gut feeling is the carbs are clogged from the fuel line breaking down from ethanol that you don't drain out of your engine every time you go out. putting in a new line and bulb is a start, but i bet you also need to get the carbs cleaned. easy to do, just go to you tube and put in your engine and there will be several series on how to clean carbs.

Why not just change all the fuel lines out with fuel lines made for ethanol
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

Go to NAPA or another good parts house. Get ethanol fuel line. They should have plenty of it.

They cleaned and put carb kits in it, changed fuel filter, i changed fuel lines......once i got new lines on i cut older lines to see...they had deterioration but not complete trash but now new hoses throughout and clean carbs
