    Default outboard removal

I am in the process of rebuilding my transom on my boat and have to remove the 88special to do so. My question is, what is the best way to mark the throttle/gear cables so that when I reconnect everything it isn't a pain in the you know what? Thanks

To which I would add : take lots of pics, in sequence, as you remove and mark each connection.

So I got the motor off without too many problems. I used tape and took lots of pictures. The problem with tape was the threads were really greasy and the tape didn't stick well at all even with some cleaning. If I hade to do it again I would Measure the amount of threads and write that down and possibly use a permanent marker to mark the threads on both sides.
