I could use some suggestions.
I have a 1995 Evinrude 40 hp tiller motor. This motor has a manual tilt with a hydraulic assist piston. I got the bottom pin out no problem. Top pin hasn't budged.
Sprayed it with PB Blaster, tried heat, pounded on it with a 10 pound sledge and nothing. The owners manual shows a cotter pin to remove and slide the pin out. No cotter pin to remove. I did find thread in one end of the pin after I managed to clean all of the gunk out of the hole. Screwed in a bolt, which promptly snapped the head off once it hit resistance. Now I have to get that broken bolt out, and still have to get the pin out.

Ideas?
