Yes. Has to be welded. Any welding shop can do it, or you can if you can weld.

Mark, I would consider getting an axle from Wesco. They sell the "Posilube" axle and it is much better than the bearing buddy setup. Go to their website and they have drawings on how it is made. I didn't know I had them on this boat I bought last summer until I repacked the bearings. It really is a superior arrangement and is found on most of the nicer trailers today.

Do like SeaRay said, get new axle. By the time you buy spindle and find someone to weld it properly you will invest almost as much money. I have that setup on my trailer and it is top shelf.

If it's a torsion axle, the trailing arm and spindle are replaceable.

Welding a new spindle on is something most any welding shop can do, but getting it aligned well enough to keep it from eating tires is not. A new axle or trailing arm is a better option if you plan to tow it very much.

I had a spindle bent so it was off 2 degrees and it would eat a tire in 150 miles. Took it to two different places and neither could get it aligned.

What cat fan said. You will not get it straight. Get a new axle they are only like 140.
