Thread: Just got a "new to me" Yamaha 115 2-stroke and have been reading about

Larry that product is made by Yamaha......the Yamaha manual reccomends useing it. The smaller containers are about 15 bucks a bottle. I use it in my four strokes. It calls for one ounce for ten gallons of gas. It has to be mixed exact.....too much is not good. It helps keep carbon from building up and causing your rings to stick. If you do a lot of idling or very slow running you need it. I really think it is just for the four strokes. If you have a two stroke and you should be alright without it especially since you are not useing your outboard to troll with.

Thanks....I knew it was recommended for the four strokes because its in my operators manual......did not know about the two strokes.....thanks for the info.

What year is ur yammi? I got a 99 115 2 stroke on my center console and been running quicksilver 2 stroke oil for almost a year...runs great! I pull u rigs for strippers some but mainly run Wot to my crappie holes

I think its a 02 or 03, it came on package with G3

I have not run a drop of gas through my 90 4st without it. I mix it and marine stabil in every time I get gas. Maybe overkill, but that's ok. Not many hrs on my motor but no trouble yet either. I think it's a good investment.

YEP . DROVE TO THE BOAT PLACE UP AT AQUA-HARBOR TO GET MY LAST BOTTLE . MARINE STABIL AND RING FREE EVERY TANK .
