I also read that a short fast beep could mean a fuel restriction. But I wouldn't think it would beep after the engine was shut off, right?
I have a 1992 johnson gt200. Today I left the ramp, got on plane (motor running perfect as usual) and ran about a quarter mile when my motor started missing badly like it was running on about 3 of 6 cylinders and my alarm started beeping short constant beeps. Slowed to idle beeping continued but motor would run fine once I got under about 2500rpm. Shut motor off, beeping continued with key on and motor off. After fishing for about an hour started back up no beep. But once I started running the process would start over. If I got on plane before the beeping started it would run wide open but as soon as the beeping started it would begin missing. Full of oil with light smoking as usual, good water pressure.
I'm thing some kind of temp issue with a saftey device that's cutting my power?
What do you folks think? And what could be causing this issue?
Thanks

your S.L.O.W. is kicking in. The temp sensor is hooked to that system. I think the VRO is hooked to that also.
Likely not same but my oil tank had moisture in it( at very bottom naturally) Wasn't much but enough for sensor to detect.
This happened to me on a 94 fastrike. Turned out to be a problem with the fuel system.
