i would recheck the ground, make sure it is making a good connection to the trailer
Having trouble with my left trailer light. All other lights on the trailer are working fine (even the running lights ) I'm getting just enough juice to make the bulb glow but not get bright.
Here's what I've tried so far
Changed the bulb--Checked the fuses--Ran a new wire to the truck plug to make sure it wasn't in the plug. Lit up great so it's not the plug. Checked the ground wire. Even tried a new tail light and just got the faint glow. Checked all wire connections. Any ideas on what I'm not checking? I could understand getting nothing but the faint glow has me stumped!!

Just for checking, run a ground wire from the vehicle to the light.

Checked the ground ( good ground at trailer) and ran one to the vehicle. Still just faint glow in the left tail light. Just wondering~~If I had a bad ground wouldn't that cause problems at my other lights?

Is this with only this light on? Check volts at bulb. May have a cracked wire and some corrosion in the circut.
Being the left light. Your most 'likely' problem is how it is bolted to the trailer with your license plate bracket. Especially if the bracket is plastic. The white wire on the light is ground. Make sure it isn't just pinched between the housing and the plastic license plate bracket. The wire needs to be ran to the back side of your trailer bracket and secured with fastener. If that checks out. (be absolutely sure the ground is good) Apply good voltage to the brown wire 'at the light'. It could be that one of the wire fasteners in your harness is no good and not allowing enough voltage to make it to the light.
(also, just in the most remote chance. Check to make sure your brown wire is connected to the proper circuit of each light assembly. If your brown wire is connected to your 'green' wire or your turn wire on the right side, it will always burn much brighter).
Brown = running lights
green = right turn and right brake light
yellow = left turn and brake light
white = ground
Just the one light. Everything else on the trailer is working fine.

Every problem I've ever had with my lights seemed to be either a ground problem or with water getting into the lights. I hard wired all my grounds (a ground wire from the front of the trailer to each light) and got LEDs. Never had a problem since.
Ok ~~~I give. 4 hrs is enough!!! Just how does one go about re-wiring a trailer? From the front to the back. Iv'e now got major problems. Turn signal (left operates both left and my faint glow right bulb ) no break lights anywhere. RRRRRRRRr

That IS a ground problem. If you re-wire it, you may solve the problem but don't be too surprised to get a new harness on there and still have problems. Not sure how you are checking things out but you do have a ground problem.
