    Default On Board Tool Box

When you head out in your boat for a day of crappie or bream fishing, what items do you carry in your on board tool kit/box? I just up sized to a larger rig...15' Bomber bass boat with 40 hp motor and while I don't want to bring my entire workshop with me, I would appreciate a few ideas on must-have tools and supplies as well as how you stow them away until needed.
Mr. Moderator I don't know if this is the right location for this thread so feel free to move it where it should go.
    Thanks.

while you have the boat at the house/garage, go over each and every bolt/nut on the boat/motor/trailer with the tools available at the house. you should find some common sizes, then make your on board tool box up with those sizes. no need to carry the whole tool box like you say. don't forget to find the right size for the plugs, etc.

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it moves and shouldn't - duct tape. If it doesn't move and should - WD-40.

I got one of the tool sets with an O-ring to seal it. Wrenches, pliers, needle-nose, screw drivers etc.. Carry a set of crimper/strippers, electrical tape and a few splices, a few hose clamps, duct tape, electrical tape and a good D-cell LED flashlight. I put new batteries in the light every spring and use the old ones for my minnow aerator.

Now that's a well prepared tool box. I just have a nut driver set and a pair of pliers.

Rarely ever need the stuff myself (knock on wood), but I have gotten a few other guys going. Came across a couple of guys stuck after dark a few years ago with a split in the fuel line right at the outboard. No knives, tools or flashlights onboard. They were plenty happy I came along. Not real smart on their part, and they would be the first to tell you that.

My tool kit has pliers (regular & needle nose), regular & phillips head screwdrivers, crescent wrench, electrical tape. Hope I never have to use it.
