    hey guys any help would be greatly apreciated i have a 2009 bass tracker 17' with a 50hp mercury about 2 weeks ago it started overing while i am full throttle wether trimmed up are down but if i back off to 3/4 throttle it will stop by overreving i mean the tach will hit 6200 rpm and the motor will cut out any clues

    Maybe you've slipped the prop bushing. That's where I'd start anyway.

    Make 2 adjacent marks on the inner and outer hubs on the back of the prop and try it again. After it sound like it is slipping check your marks and see if they are still lined up. If not the prop will have to be re-hubbed or the hub replaced if you have one of the new style props.
