    Default Thankful for crappie

I'm very thankful this thanksgiving weekend for good crappie fishing and the chance to go after em all weekend .Got tied up fixing the furnace fri but did go to the nite spot for a quicky and got 9 real nice crappie 2 pickeral and a yellow perch . Sat morning went in jon boat had a blast casting jigs and watching the line twitch and setting hook got 57 on clicker counter 30 or so woulda been good keepers just kept 11 to go with 9 from fri nite . Sunday took G duck out in boat which was great cuz it was his 1st trip on a boat in awhile due to a foot injury and we got 84 on the counter all released 50 or so of them were good size ones . mr. crappie shad poles were hot bait on plain lead jigs .First time I tried them and I really like them they stay on jig real well . Tried bobby garland baby shad and they got bit well to but would pull down off jig more then the shad poles .

Shad Poles are the best and my favorite crappie plastic. I think the color I like is Blue Ice? Been catching tons of short Stripers and killed the flounder mid October. Couldn't take the bay tog bite. It was easily 50 tog per 1 keeper there are thousands of them on the rocks but mostly small up to 15 inches.
